Nike’s Doernbecher Freestyle 2009 Collection

The wait is over!

Ever since pictures first surfaced months ago, sneakerheads everywhere have been waiting for a chance to get their hands on the latest Doernbecher Freestyle models which finally release today.

For those unfamiliar with the Freestyle program, each year Nike chooses a select few patients at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital to work with a designer to create their dream shoe. A launch party is then held in conjunction with a live auction to raise funds for clinical programs, hospital construction, and patient care. Once the shoes make their way to retailers, proceeds from all sales are also donated to fund hospital initiatives.

This year’s patient-designers included Bradley Bowlby, Colin Callsen, Jordan Dark, Anna Finley, Makayla Hansen, and Molly Martin.
