If You Don’t Know, Now You Know: Dipset Is OVER!

First the Fat Boys break up, now e'ryday I wake up, somebody gotta problem with Cam!
While the situation with Dipset in recent years hasn’t been all pink cookies in a plastic bag, Cam’Ron recently spoke to WorldStarHipHop.com, delivering news for the hip-hop community about his trend-setting Harlem crew. More after the jump.
Dipset, founded with homeboy-turned-frenemy Jim Jones, had its share of highs and lows. The Roc-A-Fella deal saw Cam’Ron get his first Platinum plaque, while Jimmy struck independent gold with Koch Records and the baby faced Juelz Santana getting love off of his first Def Jam project.
But with success came an apparent rift between the trio. Jim Jones was seen consorting with Cam’Ron arch-nemesis, 50 Cent, and Juelz seemed to be on Jimmy’s side as well. So, in an interview with WorldStarHipHop, Killa Cam had this to say in announcing that his crew, Dipset, is officially over:
“The only thing that bothers me is when n****s be like, ‘Oh, so you can be down with Dipset? They gonna put you back down?’ How can you put somebody back down for something that they own,” Cam asks. “Keepin’ it a hundred, Dipset is Dipset, but Dipset is over. They gotta get over it.”
Below in the video you can see what Cam’Ron has to say in full:
So… what does this mean for Jimmy and Juelz? Is the rift just business oriented, or is there more to the story that we’re not getting? Speak on it in the comments section.
