My favorite fight scene ever is the final boss fight in ONG BAK. When Tony Jae fights against the burmese boxer. just sick. I remember it like yesterday when I saw it in a movie theater on my vacation in HOng Kong. I totally got into muay thai after that!!!

  • Mike_nc says:

Rocky Balboa vs. Apollo Creed, in “Rocky” was the best fighting scene ever! The punches are brutal. They aren’t Raging Bull technical and they aren’t Way of the Dragon creative, but they’re punches. Punches from these two characters, two men who want so badly to win, so badly to knock the other out. Slow motion spit wads and funny flapping cheeks just drive this home.

  • DURK NIGGLER says:

BEST FINE SCENE EVER PETER GRIFFIN AGAINST THE CHICKEN..”FAMILY GUY FOREVER….I WIN

  • Masterstar says:

I’m going to have to go old school here. I say Bruce lee vs. chuck Norris way of the dragon. Both these men were masters of martial arts and when that fight happen all eyes were on them two. The setting added to fight what other place could chuck Norris and Bruce lei fight besides a coliseum.

  • Jimi Washington says:

I’d have to agree with Masterstar and say Bruce Lee vs Chuck Norris in Way Of The Dragon. Just the excitement of two martial arts connoisseurs battling and the current surprise people would get at Chuck Norris being defeated…Definitely one of the best.

  • Jae says:

My favorite fight scene would have to be the last scene from “The Protector” starring Tony Jaa!

  • curtis says:

the best fight scene would have to be in the protector the temple fight.

  • sn33z33 says:

my best fight scene would be jim carey and the chinese resturant workers in dumb and dumber. *heart beat heart beat* lol

  • Dave says:

Best Fight: Bloodsport Frank Dux(Jean-Claude Van Damme) vs. Chong Li (Bolo Yeung)

  • matt says:

Is that really even a question. Tony Ja “The Protector”. Mui Tai is no joke.

  • Krissy says:

The fight scene in “Wanted” when he hits the other guy with the keyboard and the keys fly out and say “f*ck u” lol :) I love it.

  • nikki says:

the best fight scene ever was in the orignal batman when the joker says ” have u ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?” batman then proceeds to throw him over the edge of the cathedral. that was a great quote too…circa 1989.

  • Patrice says:

Patricia Arquette in True Romance….Not ever fight scene in a movie is about winning. I really believed her in this one…Not to mention it’s one of your only chances at seeing James Gandolfini thin.

  • paul rocks..duh says:

the best fight scene was when jackie chan walked into that bar in rush hour and chris tucker said whats up my nigga and then jackie repeated it and everybody tried to jump him but still whooped em.

  • BABIE DOLL says:

WOOOOOOOOOOOOW… I AM ONLY 24 YEARS OLD BUT I CAN TELL ALL OF THESE OTHER ENTRIES ARE BY PEOPLE WHO ARE VERY YOUNG…

THE ONLY PEOPLE I THINK ABOUT WHEN I THINK OF A GREAT FIGHT SCENE IS BRUCE LEROY AND SHO’NUFF IN THE LAST DRAGON!!!! THIS MOVIE PREMIERED IN MARCH OF 1985 NOT ONLY IS IT A CLASSIC BUT IT PAVED THE WAY FOR ALL OF THESE “GREAT FIGHTS” MENTIONED ON THIS POST… I WAS ONLY 2 MONTHS OLD WHEN THIS MOVIE HIT THE SILVER SCREEN BUT I KNOW ITS THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME!!!!

:::HERE IS THE PLOT OF THE MOVIE FOR THOSE INTERESTED:::

Set in New York City, the plot follows a black teenage martial arts student named Leroy Green (often referred to as “Bruce Leroy”, although he never calls himself that) with dreams of becoming a great martial artist like his idol Bruce Lee. Leroy goes on a quest to achieve the highest level of martial arts accomplishment, known as “The Final Level”. Martial artists who reach the “Final Level” possess “The Glow”. As its name suggests it is a mystical energy that can be tapped into by a martial arts master. When a fighter’s hands glow, he is one of the best in the world and when his entire body glows, he is the greatest fighter alive. On his journey to becoming the “Last Dragon” and wielding the power of “The Glow,” Leroy must confront villains such as a crooked arcade mogul Eddie Arkadian (Murney) and the evil Sho’nuff, the Shogun of Harlem, from whom he must also protect his younger brother Richie (Leo O’Brien) and his love interest, TV music video host Laura Charles (Vanity).

  • Ven says:

i’ve read all the other post and to tell ya the truth, saying familiar/famous names doesnt determine a good fight scene

if u want good action fight scenes, then there nowhere better to look but on a ‘shaw brothers’ collection, a company even RZA of the wu-tang cant deny the pure awesomeness of their fight scenes aswell as story lines.

take for example my fave and what i consider the best fight scene:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KpC0HoDTC7E

A good fight scene has a purpose and good choreography. This scene displays it all with the great Gordon Liu and master fight choreographer Lau Kar Leung. Gordon Liu has to leave the shaolin and save his sister from baddies(just to keep it simple) but he has to first demonstrate that he can use his kung-fu without killing anyone, and so he fights his OWN master. The ending is bad-ass and its purpose really shows what kung-fu is about.

BTW, take note of how long before the camera cuts, the pure athleticism of these martial artist is what really sets apart asian action vs american action…and NO WIRES, orginators of the game

  • Davis Asano says:

BEst fight scene ever is the boss fight in drunken master.

  • Christine says:

One of the best fight scenes in my opinion would be the fight scene from ‘Old Boy’ a Korean Movie. Here’s the video of it:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ufss5ot_vGE
I can’t really explain why, but I just find this fight scene amazing. The fight scene also took seventeen takes and three days to perfect, and it was one continuous take, so their was no editing to it.

This movie is a pretty twisted movie, but it’s also amazing. Not for anyone who has a weak stomach. I recommend it to everyone who ask me what movie should they watch next. It’s a powerful story of revenge, and it’s also ranked #64 as one of the 500 Greatest Movies Of All Time by Empire Magazine.

  • Masterstar says:

so let me get this straight going to you tube and alienating the rest of us is how you win on dr jays.com? Weak

  • Christine says:

    I won?!
So do I have to claim it here or what? :D
