Ashanti Lands Reality TV Show
Grammy Award-winning pop star Ashanti recently entered into an agreement with Reveille LLC that will allow her to appear on and serve as executive producer of a new music-based competition show.
Details of the deal have not yet been fully disclosed, but the singer had this to say about the endeavor:
“I’m excited about the opportunity to be working with Reveille LLC, one of the TV industry’s heavyweights… I can’t wait to begin production.”
Reveille is known for producing such television hits as The Biggest Loser, Nashville Star, The Office, Shear Genius, Ugly Betty, and more. Through its distribution arm, Shine International, the company distributes its extensive library of programming to more than 150 countries and is one of the world’s foremost entertainment outlets.
This foray into television doesn’t mean that Ashanti is tossing her music career to the side anytime soon though. Following her departure from Irv Gotti’s The Inc Records, the 29-year-old has been hard at work on her fifth studio album expected to release on her own Written Entertainment next year.

Props to Ashanti for thinking out the box and finding other ways to make money in this declining music industry. She may not be the best singer but she is a smart business woman and whether she makes a music comeback or not, she’s setting herself up to be financially set for the rest of her life.
