My personal take is that it’s cool, as long as the rest of the ensemble is kept pretty simple and classy. It looks good paired with booties, high heels, or even thigh high boots.
The key with the often outrageous 80s decade is not to necessarily replicate the looks, but update them into a more contemporary style.
