Some of us never get the opportunity to tell someone that we admire: “Girl/Man, I really and truly admire you.” In the world of fashion, we never hesitate. If someone has “swag” or “surf” its more than OK to let it be (known). This week in Street Style, we salute another star from Lee Daniels‘ “Precious” and her name is Xosha Roquemore. 

The 2007 NYU Graduate is not only a great actress, but a New York City fashionista on her way to the big screen. With 13 common friends on Facebook and a role in Sunshowah Films‘ “Shades of Brooklyn Vol. 1,” I have seen Ms. Roquemore (too many times) not to give her style props.

DrJays.com Live! wants to give respect, where respect is due. Enjoy the girl with the “big glasses” – who in the 80s, had dreams of being an emcee. 

With a variety of hairstyles that scream, “style” and a wardrobe that yells, “fresh” and “new” – this 20-something-year-old not only mixes girly garments with extra chill swagger, but also sprinkles a dash of class when wearing dresses, bottoms and tops that show her curves and elegance.

Not only does the actress with the letter “X” tattooed right above her wrist roc cool clothes, but she also uses simplicity as a tool to show that sexy doesn’t have to over accessorized, over the top or raunchy. She is truly  ”Xosha Rockstar…”
