Esperanza Spalding Assists The ‘Nobel Peace’ With Beautiful Sounds

This morning in Olso, Norway President Barack Obama gave his Nobel Peace Prize Acceptance Speech with passion, historical references and a sense of humility. Through a speech dedicated to global peace, perspectives on war and humanity, the current President of the United States followed an all-star musician line-up. One of those musicians was Esperanza Spalding.
Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith hosted the 16th Annual Nobel Peace Prize concert, while artists like Toby Keith, Wyclef Jean and excelling musicians like Spalding, expressed their support for world peace.
As a vocalist, bassist and composer, the 25-year-old woman with “style and grace” represents a positive example for young girls throughout the world.

Through the global broadcasting, Spalding continues to prove that young people are gifted, talented and endless in their possibilities. With booked shows, Banana Republic ad campaigns and contributions to global art, this Portland, Oregon native brings “hope” and progression to the representation of urban music.
Check out one of her recent shows at the The White House Unplugged Poetry Jam:
