Lady Gaga is a repeat offender when it comes to this trend
We’ve seen the leotard spread like an epidemic in celebrity land. Where did it begin?
Perhaps it was the Beyoncé‘s “Single Ladies” video? Maybe it was the outrageous Lady Gaga?

Either way, the leotard has gone from onstage performances and workouts to everyday life. Melody Thornton of the Pussycat Dolls was spotted out for dinner in a piece from Sass & Bide.
Going back to Gaga, she stays in her leotards. Very fashionable ones at that:

In the last picture..it looks like Gaga has something ‘extra’ in that leotard. Not feeling the leotard/tights look..

Leotards shouldn’t leave the dance hall. It won’t work as everyday wear anyway. There’s not much to hide with those I don’t see alot of females rockin those. Even ones that show skin, just for the simple reason is you can’t do that many tricks with it, IE spanx, double layer etc.
Leotards should be used for ballet, workouts and halloween.. Not for street use, music videos or tasteless fashion trends. When a celebrity wears something for shock value our culture seems to think it should become a fashion trend, this is so wrong and no true fashion or a display of individual expression. Its just lame.
So yea, I’m really not feeling the leotards it’s too much. Not over the top, but under the bottom.
