Guess Who’s Bizzack: Pee-Wee Herman
With all the current “news” on TV about Tiger Woods and whether or not Obama is a qualified leader, I think it’s time for us to enjoy a couple of laughs. For all you kids born prior to 1988 -89, Pee-Wee Herman is making his comeback.
According to MSNBC.com, actor Paul Reubens says he plans to bring the hit-TV show back to the stage and re-introduce the classic character to a generation that was never exposed. Pee-Wee’s Playhouse ran for five seasons, won 22 Emmys and was put to an end after “Reubens’ July 1991 arrest for indecent exposure in an adult-movie house in Sarasota, Fl.”
That case resulted in a small fine.
The Pee-Wee Herman Show is scheduled to run for a limited four-weeks, Jan. 12- Feb. 7. in downtown Los Angeles at Club Nokia theater.
The 57-year-old actor said in an AP News story, “I am grateful that people still support me. I am grateful that people are going to buy tickets to come see my fabulous, fantastic, unbelievably incredible show at Club Nokia opening January 12th, playing until February 7th. I hope people have tickets and that is pretty much what I am thankful for.”
I wouldn’t mind seeing Reubens on TV, as he works toward his goal of completing a Pee-Wee Herman movie. Good stuff, eh?
