Robin Thicke Brings Sex Therapy To Ellen

Robin Thicke‘s fourth studio LP, Sex Therapy: The Session (with guest appearances from artists like Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj, and Jazmine Sullivan) is in stores now.
The first single, produced by Polow Da Don is the baby making boom-boom-kat fusion title record.
The Grammy award-winning R&B sensation performed live on Ellen‘s stage Friday evening and set it off. For that session along with what he had to say about nuns listening to his music and his wife’s role in Precious, read on.
“Some women can buy their own shoes, some women don’t want to go to lunch, some women like to cook, but they all need sex therapy,” he said with a laugh in a recent Canadian Press interview. “It’s the one thing every woman’s going to need sooner or later. Except a nun. So this album is not for nuns.”

On his wife’s role in Precious (Paula Patton):
“I was the one who hooked it up. … I had dinner with (director) Lee Daniels … he gave me the script. My wife was doing a movie at the time, so I read the script. I cried reading the script. … And she wasn’t sure she wanted to do it. She didn’t know how she’d make the teacher role original in the beginning, she was a little nervous about it, but I said, “Listen, I will pay this guy for you to be in this movie. This movie is going to make a difference.” And I was lucky that I was right once (laughs). Because now she’s very thankful that I told her you have to do this movie.”

I know that collaboration with Jazmine Sullivan must be the BUSINESS! Got to check that one out, haven’t heard from her in a while.
