Rihanna: Good Girl REALLY Gone Bad?
Without question, Rihanna murdered the fashion scene in 2009. The Princess of Fashion spent most of the year traipsing around as a fashion plate and actually only gave us music as we entered the final stretch.
From Paris Fashion Week to casual trips to Chanel, Rihanna set the tone for fashion this year and the industry’s elite appreciated every minute of it.
However, with the release of her latest album, Rated R, her high fashion has taken an interesting turn. She’s definitely still pushing the envelope – which envelope, we have no clue.
Ri Ri’s chosen to end the year off with a plethora of questionable attire – from her flapper headpiece and barnyard overalls on 106th & Park to her spiked sweatsuits as she exits the country. A HUGE difference from the high glam we’re used to.
The question is, do you guys still love it?
I love Rihanna. Her style is like my own and it inspires what I wear/would like to wear.
Really, she has done no wrong so far in my eyes, fashion-wise. She’s innovative, and bringing fresh, great looks to the masses.
