Does Anyone Care That Benzino Dissed Royce Da 5’9″?
Yes, you read that headline right, Benzino has dissed Slaughterhouse‘s Royce Da 5’9″ and the world is still in tact. Hell has not frozen over and Jesus has not come back to start judging the living. But with Benzino jumping into the beef frying pan with a proven veteran is the former “thug” looking to restart his career? More after the jump.
The former owner of The Source throws a few unveiled shots at longtime friend and comrade of Eminem, Royce Da 5’9″ on a track that also features the Wu-Tang Clan‘s Raekwon.
Don’t look for it to be a Slaughterhouse vs. Raekwon & Benzino thing though. Raekwon took to Twitter stating, “For the record, I wanna say I take no part in nobody’s diss song, I just sent them a verse that’s it! That’s between them brothers keep me outta it!”
Benzino calls Royce out by name on the cut, but the question is why would he do such a thing?
“Run ‘em down, hit ‘em up in some traffic/ Slap his bitch in the mouth, break up his glasses/ Stupid looking n*gga, really nobody’s heard of you/ Better watch your moth, Royce. N*ggas will murder you.”
Whether it may be a response to Royce Da 5’9″ cut, “No Coming Back From That,” or not the point of the matter is that the Detroit lyricist’s “Bad Meets Evil” counterpart may be released on his next project, Bar Exam 3.
Royce replied after hearing the diss, saying that the album will be “full of drama” via Twitter.
But is this something you’ll be anticipating hearing? Or will you be waiting for 50 Cent vs. Jay-Z? Check out the video below and share your thoughts in the comments section!
