After her last project in 2002 and platinum-selling Lovers Rock album in 2000, music icon Sade Adu is back with an exciting new single, “Soldier of Love” (also the name of her upcoming album). If you’re not aware of who Sade is, we’re quite excited to inform you.
Adu is a singer, songwriter, composer and record producer from Nigeria, who’s best known for her distinct voice over jazz/soul/funk inspired sounds.
Sade is also the name of the entire band (Stuart Matthewman, Paul Spencer Denman, Andrew Hale and Paul Anthony Cook), including the singer. With over 25 years of playing together and more than 17 million records sold in the U.S., the latest single is more than anticipated; it’s needed.
On February 8, 2010 Sade will release their eighth project entitled, Soldier of Love (Epic Records). This is sort of a big deal.
