Lady Gaga Named Creative Director of Polaroid
Lady Gaga and her “Haus of Gaga” team are taking over the world, one brand at a time.
At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas today, it was announced that Gaga has been named Creative Director and Inventor of Specialty Products (sounds like a Harry Potter character) for Polaroid.
“The Haus of Gaga has been developing prototypes in the vein of fashion/technology/photography innovation – blending the iconic history of Polaroid and instant film with the digital era – and we are excited to collaborate on these ventures with the Polaroid brand,” Gaga said in a statement.
Polaroid, the company most famous for its instant film cameras, is hoping to revive its name after filing for bankruptcy last year. Private equity firms then took the company out of bankruptcy mid-year.
The campaign with Gaga will apparently see her star in the company’s marketing campaigns as well as on social networking channels. In turn, Polaroid is expected to be a presence at her concerts.
