Would You Rock A Chanel Tattoo?
Chanel temporary tattoos are cute, don’t get me wrong, but looking at them makes me think they’re just glorified high-end versions of barbed wire or tribal tattoos.
Dainty yes, but anything that wraps around an appendage gets a raised eyebrow from me. According to Elle UK:
Transfers and body paint were all over the s/s catwalks; first at Rodarte, closely followed by Jean Paul Gaultier and then at Chanel. Well, once Chanel got in on the act with their clever bangle, bead and floral designs, which were by far the most wearable take on the look, we knew this trend was set to go stellar.
Our only problem? The transfer tattoos out there often consist of hearts containing the word ‘Mum’ and red roses, hardly high fashion. So it was to our relief and excitement that Chanel is launching the transfers in boutiques, concessions and the Selfridges counter from 1 March.
The perfect fashion-beauty hybrid trend, transfers are the new statement jewellery. We predict a ‘Jade’ style queue at Chanel. Make sure you get there early.

Would you shell out dollars for temporary tattoos? I wouldn’t, I’ll settle for the real thing. I smell a new trend coming on….
