DAY 2: Lupe Fiasco x Kenna ‘Summit On The Summit’
If you’ve been living underneath a rock then you probably haven’t heard of the Kenna created project known as ‘Summit on the Summit’. Don’t worry I’ll get you hip after the jump.
Day two found such celebrities like Jessica Biel, Lupe Fiasco, and Emile Hirsch joining the aforementioned Kenna to brave some ugly rain during their climb of Mount Kilimanjaro.
The effort was brought to the entertainment communities attention by Kenna, a native of Ethiopia, to raise awareness about the global water crisis. Together these individuals must climb Africa’s highest peak (an estimated 19,340 feet) and they hope to complete this task by January 12th.
Once finished, they’ll move on to other parts of Africa to spread the clean water gospel to other communities. This powerful act of empowerment has been co-signed not only by the entertainment community, but by political activists and United Nations workers like Elizabeth Gore and Kick Kennedy (RFK’s granddaughter).
