Beef Over Beliefs: Christian Rapper Claims Jay-Z Has Some Explaining To Do
Some 14 years ago, an up and coming Brooklyn emcee by the name of Jay-Z asked the question, “Can I Live?” on his debut classic, Reasonable Doubt and today the answer to that very question would be no. It appears as if the rapper and business mogul won’t be let off the hook anytime soon surrounding talk of his alleged ties to the Illuminati and other secret societies.
Days after confronting and denying the rumors concerning his alleged affiliation in a radio interview with Hot 97’s Angie Martinez, an unnamed Christian rapper has gone beyond talks by the water cooler and online chat rooms. Rather the rapper has taken to Jay-Z’s stomping ground, boldly addressing the popular controversy on wax over a beat all too familiar to Jay-Z.
The 4 minute and 14 second track titled, “Jay-Z, You Got Some Explaining to Do,” is laid over the instrumental of Jay-Z’s “Renegade” from his classic, The Blueprint. Throughout much of the song the rapper presents much theoretical evidence including references from the Sam Brown directed, symbol-riddled video for On to the Next One to questioning why Track 9 of the veteran rapper’s The Black Album is the song “99 Problems,” which is read “666” when the numbers are turned upside down.
The rapper even goes so far as to go in on Jay-Z’s wife Beyoncé, his protégé Rihanna, and pop sensation Lady Gaga; claiming they, too, are affiliated with a secret society and have occult ties.
Does this Christian rapper have a sound argument in saying that Jay-Z has some explaining to do? Does the presented evidence refute Jay-Z’s recent denial of being affiliated with the Iluminati?

Well, I am a christian. And I dont like what he’s been doing on his videos and everything. If I listen to his music i do it while knowing it’s just music, taking the good things and rejecting the bad things. I think he could be with the devil or something even without saying something, so for me its not about if he shows the devil on videos and thing or not.
Even Bono from U2 and him are friends, and bono is christian, just to mention an example.
I agree with both. Notice how it wasn’t a group of people who felt like he needed to explain. It was just him. He should have kept that matter to himself. He’s just mad he doesn’t have Jay-z fame and fortune so when he tried to get a piece of it,it didn’t work.

Hey, hey, hey- No one is a hater because they believe it is what it is… When you research for yourselves you will easily see the truth is revealed. I like jay, and I’m a Christian(don’t listen to him as much as I did), but It’s just truth brought to life it doesn’t mean you have to go grab your bible when his video hits the air waves, it means you are informed, it’s called knowledge. i have seen a little of the thelema writings and some of what i have seen, the symbols used in the Roc i have seen them in its writings, take the Roc sign for instance the two hands that forms a pyramid is the same pyramid used to represent A. Crowley and his work. another is the shirt in one of the interviews that states DO WHAT THOU WILT is another one of his beliefs. i must say that all the pieces are falling into place about his religious background. i read up on alot of these things and i also know that masons do not believe in christ but in one single GOD which is what tipped me off in the interview with Angie. ask yourself is this what really caused the split of the Roc, as a fan of hip hop i believe so but is this what it has come down to.
Well, it’s been a couple of days and the Jay-Z record has done more than I ever expected it to. I’ve read hundreds and hundreds of comments and feel that I should provide some clarification.
1. Why I did it? For a few reasons. To those who feel I did it for exposure; who am I? lol If you can’t answer that, then I’m no good at advertising because I didn’t even tell you the product or where you can go to find it. If I wanted exposure, I would have given out my myspace and twitter at the end. =) The truth is, I don’t want to be famous, but after watching Christ be disrespected and learning about Jay-Z and a couple of others, I guess my emotions and Love for God got the best of me. I mean, most of you would defend your best friend if someone slandered their name, so I guess you can say Jesus is my best friend.
2. To those who have a problem with me using the N-Word; I apologize for any offense. But I did think it through before hand and decided to include it, because I’m not perfect and I use that word everyday. I felt it would be fake of me to leave it out of the record just so I could look like a better Christian. Being Christian doesn’t mean I’m perfect. It just means I’m forgiven and I strive daily to be better and get closer to God.
3. Am I a Christian rapper or just a rapper that’s Christian? I guess if there’s a difference between the two, you would say I’m a rapper that’s Christian. I’m not a Gospel rapper, though I am working on my music and moving in that direction. I’m sure you may hear some older records surface and maybe you should so that you can see how far I’ve come rather then seeing the word Christian and assuming where I should be.
4. Can Jay worship or believe in what he wants? Yes! This record is not about that. It’s not a diss record. It’s a “let you know the truth so you can make an informed decision on whether or not you still want to listen to him” record.lol It was for those people who heard the record and chose to delete him out of their ipods and jump off the boat when they found out what the destination was. I was also inspired by young singer/actress Tiffany Evans’ heart to come out and make the statements she did about satanism in the industry. It took a teenage girl to speak up when a lot of these so-called hard men in the game wouldn’t.
One thing this song did that I didn’t expect it to do, was let us know how far we are from Christ. I never expected to see so many “F God” and “F Jesus” comments. It hurt my stomach to read some of those. I’m sure a lot of us didn’t know that so many of our peers felt that way. But never the less, God loves them all the same.
Once again, sorry If I offended some of you with the N-Word. I’ll work on that. I may be a little rough around the edges but my heart was definately in the right place. I appreciate all of the love. To my fellow Christians, in no way did I intend to set a bad example for the Kingdom. But people need to see that we too have flaws and that God will accept you with them. Love yall,and God Bless!!!

Good job bizzle this is one of my favorite songs man…Jay shouldnt be doin the things he does and people shouldnt be following him like they do. Jay’s got some explainin to do whether it be to us or to God. One day he will have to explain to God in his judgement.

Just came across this site and I found it really interesting how many of us Christian were judging one another as well as Jay-Z.
We must remember that at the end of the day we are the judge, But Jesus is the Judge; He will come back and judge all!
I haven’t heard the song that Bizzle wrote regarding Jay-Z, but I believe that whoever is disrespecting God should be exposed. Jesus and his disciples exposed all of those idol worshippers and false teachers of their time and we should do the same.
Another thing we should take into consideration is how can we witness to Jay-Z and deliver to the GOOD NEWS OF THE GOSPEL! We don’t know this man nor do we if he has ever been exposed to the TRUTH! Jesus prayed for His foes and asked God to FORGIVE them for they know not what they do! So we must for Jay-Z, despite all that he has said or done. I’m sure that you all have heard of Saul the Christian Slayer, which met Jesus on his way to Demacus. Yeah, that same Saul the Christian Slayer became Paul which wrote most of the books of the New Testament. So, now think about that if God can use Saul don’t you think that he will be able to use Jay-Z? We need to pray for him, just think what a might soldier he would in the army of the Lord’s; and what an awesome testimony he would have and how many souls will be won because of that!
We are suppose to be about God’s business and not trying to be God!
We as CHRISTIANS need to WAKE UP and do a reality check on our own life and ask ourselves is our behavior pleasing to GOD? And we MUST start asking GOD first before we say a word or even make move as to what He wants us to say or do. BY do so the GLORY of the LORD will be revealed to all. We need to tight up our own walk with God!
