RECAP: Milan Men’s Fashion Week
A weak economy, along with optimism for the future, were evident in collections shown during the Milan men’s fashion week.
Futuristic Matrix-esque looks were combined with historical war inspired apparel, and then of course there are designers like Dsquared (see main image) who went for shock value.
Even with the often super tight fits, it’s clear that the “manly man” is in the house for fall 2010.
Peep some highlights from heavy hitters like Prada, Versace, Bottega Veneta and more:
Prada’s collection drew inspiration from the Brady Bunch
Bottega Veneta opted for a relaxed and sporty masculine style
Gucci showed an equestrian-inspired collection
Salvatore Ferragamo apparently took some cues from South American cowboys
Dolce & Gabana drew inspiration from war, the mafia, and Dolce’s native town, “Baaria”
Versace displayed gothic, futuristic runway looks
The Canadian twins of Dsquared, Dan and Dean Caten, put on “The Hockey Horror Dsquared Show”
