Stefano Pilati, creative director for Yves Saint Laurent, epitomized edgy sophistication with his Pre-fall 2010 collection. Taking a blow at the recession–who’s grip on the economy is steadily losing power–he lengthened hemlines almost to the floor.
If anything else, Pilati proved that the YSL woman is comfortable with her own skin, if not anything else in the world:
