Super Bowl XLIV: Colts, Saints, Or Commercials?

Super Bowl XLIV will feature the New Orleans Saints and the Indianapolis Colts. Kick-off time is at approximately 6:30 and hopefully we’ll be tuned in to two offensive powers going at it. While Boss Lady is in Miami enjoying performance challenges with none other than Dallas’ Miles Austin, I think it’s only fair that we spend some time talking about the Super Bowl and what we’re really looking forward to.

If you are a football fanatic I would assume that you are ready for a competitive match-up between the Colts and Saints. On one hand we have the Colts. Peyton Manning’s work ethic is enough to have Saints’ fans worrying. A team that runs a no huddle offense with plays being called at the line is going to keep the Saints’ defense on it’s feet. On defense for the Saints I would hope that Darren Sharper shows up and plays out of his mind to keep Peyton and company startled, as well as the other defensive players. But let’s be honest, we’re not worried about defense on Sunday. It’s all about who puts up the most points.

On the other hand we have Drew Brees leading the Saint’s offense as well as Reggie Bush, Pierre Thomas, Jeremy Shockey and more. When they manhandled the New England Patriots on Monday Night Football with a score of 38-17 something clicked in all of us and we knew that team was going to appear in Super Bowl 44. They know how to score touchdowns as their average points per game is 33.8. This is clearly a team that’s ready to throw the ball around, mix up some runs, and execute special plays to put some points on the board.

So we have two productive offenses that will definitely make the game exciting and hopefully it goes down to the wire. But although we have a great game on our hands we also have commercials!! This year we’re anticipating commercials from Bud Light, Coca Cola, Doritos, Go Daddy and more. Each year there’s always a random brand that makes some noise. Luckily we will have a great array of ads to keep us entertained.

Readers of Dr. Jay’s I ask you this: Who’s winning the Super Bowl? Saints or Colts? And what commercials are you looking forward to viewing during the breaks?
