BREAKING NEWS: Lil Wayne’s Grill Saves Him From Prison!?
Yep – at least for now. The multi-platinum recording artist known for his small stature and prolific rapping career was supposed to start a year in the bing today, February 9, but apparently, an emergency dental procedure is delaying Lil Wayne‘s entrance into the Rikers Island facilities.
His lawyer, Stacey Richman, said Wayne needed to have a cracked tooth repaired. He is scheduled for surgery in Miami this Friday, she told the court, and he’ll need about 10 days to recover. The breaking news came earlier today, despite various farewell parties, including a live-streaming one via Young Money artist Lil Twist‘s Ustream page. Apparently, Wayne’s judge is very strict on the March 2 date that has now been set for his prison sentence, so don’t expect any more delays or holdups. Oh well, at least we can all enjoy a few more days of the self-proclaimed Martian’s freedom.
Somebody better get him some tools to maintain his dental hygiene. And while we’re on the topic, will he be able to keep his grill in his mouth while serving? How about listen to an iPod? Will he have to cut his hair? And since he claims he doesn’t write his rhymes anymore, how the hell is Wayne gonna spend his idle time? this article caught me off guard. i thought that the report would read that wayne was avoiding jail and lobbying for house arrest due to the worth of his diamond endowed grill, and the logical possibility of him being thrashed in prison for it. maybe his lawyer should look into that . . .
