HIGHLIGHTS: NYC Fashion Week Day 1

Yesterday marked the first day of Mercedes-Benz NYC Fashion Week.

Buyers, journalists, editors and more came out to preview fall 2010 collections from BCBG, Ports 161 and more.

Check out some of the highlights below:

BCBG Max Azria displayed a flowing collection of uniquely cut color blocked garments.

Ports 1961‘s models rocked leather helmets, tough fabrics and asymmetrically cut garments.

Farah Angsana went heavy with the glitter – sequins, rhinestones, furs and more.

Mackage‘s debut ready-to-wear collection featured structured garments, lots of leather, and an overall young, edgy tone.

Richard Chai Love‘s collection included lots of layering and flowing fabrics:
