Last week the DrJays.com crew hit MAGIC in Las Vegas for a very successful trip. We picked up a number of new brands (hitting the site soon), did some exclusive interviews, created some new promotional ventures and of course, partied with the best of ‘em!

Part of MAGIC involves brands setting up private suites to showcase their brands, including Apple Bottoms, who had lovely models like the one pictured above rocking their new summer looks.

Statistically these brands are not selling well compared to upcoming Indie brands, thats another contributing factor to the new Magic layout.

If you noticed this year…, all the big booths are gone & many of these NYC brands are very regional and losing clients.

The states are becoming less interested in Rap, we all can understand that, its junk compared to the 80′s rap scene. Another factor is that you can only see so many Ecko T-shirts, these brands dont evolve.

Famous stars was a brand worn by white boys in the Orange county areas of Cali, now look at it..lol

Creative Rec was also a white boy sneaker years ago, and now…

No one wears FUBU or Famous or Baby phat…, this stuff is discounted fashion at best.

Lets be honest, you go to Magic and the best part in PROJECT…It always has been..

Rap music sells a lifestyle that the listeners cannot afford.., now Rap music is blah & so is the marketed product.. Same ole stuff, nothing innovative, nothing new, lets just rap about cars we dont own, degrade women, & talk about how bad ass we are for 15 seconds, then done!

C R E A M – cash rules everything around me.., dolla dolla bill yo..

That took me 2 university degrees, 60 hour work weeks, saving dough. Now i just wear my denim and tennis shoes = thats core & thats what a woman wants..

A brand called T.I.T.s…, who actually thinks thats going to work..lol
