BHM Fashion Tribute: Zoe Saldana
Zoe Saldana quickly became a household name last year.
She landed two blockbusters, Star Trek and Avatar – which became the highest grossing film of all time in North America.
Zoe consistently dazzles us with her soft feminine charm and red carpet looks that are always on point.
The Dominican/Puerto Rican beauty was born in New Jersey, and then took off with her family to the Dominican Republic at the age of 10, where she lived for several years.
During her time in D.R., Zoe enrolled in one of the most prestigious dance schools there, and later moved back to New York where she showed off her skills at the Faces theater troupe. The troupe put on plays that delivered positive messages to teens about battling substance abuse and other issues.
Zoe’s dance and acting skills were soon recogzined by a talent agency that recruited her while she was performing with the Faces troupe, and also the New York Youth Theater.
She then landed first big screen role as Eva, a talented dancer, in the 2000 film Center Stage. Shortly after, roles in films like Pirates of the Caribbean and Guess Who? followed, while Zoe began making her mark in Hollywood.
With her svelte model-like figure and graceful look, Zoe has definitely been dressing the part of a glamorous Hollywood starlet. She’s pinpointed how to appear demure yet still flirty, sexy and fun with fashion.
Zoe’s rocked looks from the likes of Miu Miu, Marchesa, Roland Mouret and many more, and she even created her very own clothing line, Arasmaci, which is based on her Dominican culture.
