Is Nicki Minaj Hip-Hop’s Lady Gaga?
It looks like Nicki Minaj is definitely becoming hip-hop’s Lady Gaga – from the attitude, musical versatility, sense of style and their references to grandiose costumes when dressing.
Although Gaga has been pretty much crazy since she first burst onto the scene with “Just Dance”, with Nicki’s recent hints, or even blatant promises, that she’ll only be dressing in costumes, she’s slowly but surely getting there. After pictures of her Rip The Runway performance look hit the net the other day, we thought “hmm, I think this is going somewhere, but somewhere we’ve been before.”
We love that Nicki Minaj is going down the costume route as it matches her musical personality and flavor. It will also separate her from other female rappers in the past, who simply just wore skimpy outfits (or dressed like dudes) and never really emulated (real) fashion, although Lil Kim came the closest out of them all. So the discussion is no longer “Is she the next Lil Kim”, it’s now “is she the newest Lady Gaga”?

naw. there aint really someone who is like lady gaga the only similarity is that they both dress crazy and got fake identitys (alter egos) but thats it and thats alot of females in the music game today
