This is either a terrifically executed (and incredibly immoral) publicity stunt, or a horrific situation. St. Louis rapper  J-Kwon has reportedly been M.I.A. for over a month according to his label, Gracie Productions.

“J-Kwon is a big part of the Gracie family, and we are obviously increasingly worried and want to make sure he is ok,” said label CEO/President Tony Bucher earlier today in a statement.

“We’ve already received thousands of emails from fans and supporters who are worried about J-Kwon, and we want everyone to know how much we appreciate the love and support,” he continued. “If anyone has seen J-Kwon or has access to him, please let him know we are worried about him, and to please let us know everything is ok.”

A Jermaine Dupri protégé best known for his 2004 top-5 Billboard single, “Tipsy,” J-Kwon was set to release a self-titled album later this month.

Anyone who has any details of J-Kwon whereabouts can contact Gracie Productions. You can also tweet the label on this Twitter account with any information. Hopefully this situation is simply a misunderstanding or the result of mis-communication. The news comes directly after hip-hop legend Guru fought for his life following a heart attack, and former Growing Pains actor Andrew Koenig took his own life after his friends reported him missing for several days.

Please send your prayers out to the friends of family of J-Kwon.
