Hot Or Not? Erykah Badu’s New Video W/ Lil Wayne & Bilal

Erykah Badu, 39, doesn’t spare any creative expense when it comes to her new song and video called “Jump Up In The Air and Stay There” with what sounds like hint samples from the infamous George Clinton.
Nevertheless, Ms. Badu also got jazz and soul songbird Bilal to help her with backup vocals in this kaleidoscope-effect filled music video. Not to mention the fact that Lil Wayne fits perfectly into this whole equation.
This song is from her upcoming album New Amerykah Part Two: Return of The Ankh, which without a doubt will be filled with Badu’s cutting edge style and collaborations.
So what do you think of this new effort by Badu featuring Weezy and Bilal? Your cup of tea or not?

Lil Wayne does not belong on this song, and this song does not belong on this instrumental.
The video is hard but the song is weak!
HoT. The video, Erykah having Weezy on the track, and the entire project just makes sense. She’s been in the game for many years and I’m still rooting for her success; supporting real artists. I look forward to Badu’s NEW MUSIC.
Not good at all. Very disappointing..
I still like it, I’ve been disappointed with some of Erykah’s earlier releases (like “Honey”) but this is a goofy fun Erykah-esk type song. PLUS weezy always goes against the grain as far as I’m concerned and I think it works.
/end rant
Just to clarify a point: the song that Erykah Badu has sampled on “Jump Up In The Air” is actually called “Hydraulic Pump” and it’s performed by the P-Funk All Stars. The booklet incorrectly lists the song title as “Jump Up In The Air.”
