What’s for breakfast?

What time to you have to leave for work?

“I never leave. I am always working. Work happens everywhere. However, I find a balance between work and family so I have a home office in addition to offices in NY and LA.”

How do you start your working day?

What’s a typical morning like? Meetings, brainstorming etc?

“I check off my list of things to follow up on and provide direction for my team. In being a creative person I brainstorm continuously, especially with the design and marketing teams. My day consists of meetings to expand on the brainstorming ideas with the business side.”

Is lunch a wrap at your desk or a meeting in town?

“It depends on the day; I do both. I do make sure to eat something for energy; it can either be a salad or a good sandwich.”

What are your wardrobe staples?

“I love great fitting jeans. I can’t live without them. I wear them to my meetings, with the family, with t-shirts or dressy tops and heels. They are my ultimate staple.”

What are your beauty must haves?

“Sleep and good nutrition keep the body well nourished and beautiful.”

What’s a typical afternoon at work?

When do you finish?

“I usually finish around dinnertime with the family and then a bit of quality time after dinner. Sometimes I assist my daughters with any homework activities. Once the kids are in bed, I may follow up on a few emails or spend time with my husband (model Djimon Hounsou).”

Networking event or night on the sofa?

“I love to spend nights on the sofa but I do venture out to events from time to time with business partners or my husband.”

When’s bedtime?

“Bedtime can be quite late, I always set aside time for Djimon and I to spend together every day. Often, these moments happen after the kids are asleep.”

What would you be doing if you weren’t doing this? Any other careers appealed?

“I can’t imagine doing anything else – I am living my dream. I have a great family and a career I always wanted. It’s hard sometimes but I focus on balance between my personal and professional life.”

If you could offer one piece of advice to someone interested in going into the industry, what would it be?

“I would say don’t take no for an answer, believe in yourself and always pursue your dreams.”

  • I think Kimora is doing the right thing, She balances work, family, and business. When you know what you want, dont let no one or nothing get into your way. You might not always get it right the first time, but you try and try again until you feel comfortable about where your at with your life and every day issues. Her family is beautiful and Im happy she happy. Thanks Mrs Wilson.
