RIP Teen Idol Corey Haim

If you’re an 80s, if not 70s baby, then you are familiar with the late actor Corey Haim (center). He played a likable rambunctious characters in movies like the The Lost Boys and License To Drive. He was often seen with his best-friend and namesake Corey Feldman (right), and the two even appeared in a reality show on A&E dubbed “The Two Coreys”, which dealt with how differently their lives had changed. Feldman was a vegetarian and veritable straight edge, while Haim still struggled with the same demons of their wild youth. The two admitted to many wild nights, women, drugs, and alcohol.
Haim has had a very public battle with drug addiction, and according to Yahoo news, the actor passed this morning:
Los Angeles Police Department confirmed the actor’s death to TV station KTLA. According to police, Haim, who had past substance-abuse problems, died at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday of an accidental overdose. He reportedly was found unresponsive at his apartment. He was with his mother at the time of his death. He was later pronounced dead at Providence St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Burbank.
If you know anyone suffering from addiction, it is never too late to try to help them. You can find more information on drug and alcohol abuse here.

The Lost Boys is one of my favorite movies; he was so fresh-faced and innocent in it. If only things could have stayed that way
God bless his mother and family and may he rest in peace.
