Larry Johnson Signs With Redskins

The Washington Redskins made their biggest free-agent splash last Friday night, signing running back Larry Johnson to a three-year contract.
So much for the lack of intrigue at Redskins Park. Washington has agreed to a three-year contract with former Chiefs running back that could be worth as much as $12 million if he reaches several incentives.
The Redskins confirmed the signing with a 6 p.m. news release on March 12th.
“We are excited to bring in a running back that has had so much success in this league,” Coach Mike Shanahan said in the release. “Larry is a physical runner who will be a great addition to our backfield.”
Johnson was released by the Chiefs last year after making offensive remarks and played the final seven games with the Bengals as a reserve. Johnson is a two-time Pro Bowl pick who has run for 6,219 yards and 55 touchdowns in eight NFL seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengals.
