Chrisette Michele Is Not Her Hair
Looks like Amber Rose has seemingly made women everywhere become more comfortable with their natural tresses. Although India.Arie and Erykah Badu have been promoting natural hair for years now, R&B chick’s just weren’t trying to hear it. But something has changed. The songstress with the soothing voice, Chrisette Michele, recently tried a new ‘do and we must say—it fits her.
The photos, shot by celebrity photographer Derek Blanks, are a testament to the effortless true beauty which lies in us all. Chrisette had this to say about her new look:
“I was tired of black sista’s feeling subject to having their hair pressed and straightened, and damaged with relaxers and heat. So I wanted to make short and nappy hair fashionable, and let the industry know that there is nothing wrong with the texture that we have been born with. So I plan to grow it out to the big beautiful nappy hair that I have.”

I like this article I can totally relate. I have been putting braids in my hair, perming my hair and wearing a weave all my life and it has damaged my hair so much that it breaks off and never grows..I would love to just let my natural hair grow out..maybe ill try it now
