Floyd “Money” Mayweather faces his stiffest test to date when he battles “Sugar” Shane Mosley on May 1 at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas, NV. It is predicted to be one of the biggest fights in the history of the sport and for good reason.

Mayweather (40-0, 25 KOs) comes into this fight fresh off of his last September’s victory over highly regarded Juan Manuel Marquez, who pushed Manny Pacquiao to the limit on two occasions. In that fight, Mayweather displayed his lighting fast reflexes, magnificent boxing IQ and superior defense en route to easily outpointing the man who many had on their pound-for-pound short list. Although Mayweather was fighting a smaller boxer, he proved why he should still be considered the sport’s best.

Mosley (46-5, 39 KOs) returns to the ring for the first time since completely annihilating Antonio Margarito last January. Mosley entered the fight an underdog but was far too fast and far too strong for the rough and tough Mexican from Tijuana. The fight was also remembered for Margarito being caught for using a plaster like material on his hand wraps, which resulted in his suspension from the sport.

As we enter a fight that is considered one of the biggest of the decade, let’s take a look at both fighters and how they match up with one another in a twelve round breakdown.
