Gucci Mane Fires Waka Flocka Flame’s Mother; Leaves So Icey Entertainment
I’m hearing that Gucci Mane has gone the direction of Nicki Minaj by firing Waka Flocka Flame’s mother, Debra, as his manager. He’s also cut ties with So Icey Entertainment, the label for which he served as CEO. Through a press release sent out by his publicist yesterday, the Atlanta-based rapper spoke on these latest developments in his career:
“The rest of 2010 is going to be real major. I’m taking control of all of my business properties and keeping the focus on my career, my music and my artists. All the pieces to the puzzle are finally in place and once I get home it’s Gucci time.”
Sticking with the topic of when he’ll get home, according to Hot 97’s Angie Martinez, Gucci is scheduled to be released from prison next Wednesday, May 12. He’s been behind bars since November after violating his probation for a 2005 offense. In anticipation of his release, Gucci is slated to be a part of this year’s Summer Jam concert on June 6. Now my question is will there be an interpreter on stage while Gucci’s performing, because I can’t understand a thing the man says…and I thought I was country.
