Actress Eva Longoria Parker and model/actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (once voted “the most beautiful woman in the world”) light up the red carpet in floor-length beaded gowns for the premiere of On Tour at the Cannes Film Festival (Festival du Cannes).

The annual event (held this year from May 12-23 with director Tim Burton as head judge) is one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious film festivals. The highest award given out at Cannes is the Palme d’Or (“Golden Palm”) for Best Film.

Terrence Howard and a glowing Jennifer Hudson walk the red carpet for their upcoming project, Winnie. Hudson plays the title role, based on the life of Winnie Madikizela-Mandela (Howard plays her husband, Nelson Mandela). The New York Times reports the film currently faces legal threats from Ms. Mandela’s lawyers.
