New Artist Illustrate Paints A Picture
They say never judge a book by it’s cover. I say never judge an artist by their look. Illustrate, a rapper from Brooklyn, New York, is the unlikely white, awkward rapper. His name fits well as he truly paints pictures of the kind of hip-hop he expresses. Illustrate has two quality tracks out right now off his debut album, Back On The Juice—the first is called “The Look” and the second is “The Joke.”
“The Look,” Illustrate says, “is a story about a Larry David-like character such as myself attempting to live the same nightlife that 50 Cent or Kanye talk about on their tracks; only my experience isn’t quite the same as theirs. ‘The Joke’ follows a similar pattern of self-deprecating humor. The lyrics are written in joke-format and in some cases, mimic actual conversations between the crowds at shows and myself.”

I don’t think “Don’t just an artist by his book” is really in the right place, but I get what you mean…He’s pretty dope though…Kinda reminds me of Shad..
