The word is out: 20th Century Fox has just released the first clip from their upcoming blockbuster The A-Team, based on the popular 1980′s action-adventure TV series.

Directed by Joe Carnahan (2002′s Narc and 2007′s Smoking Aces are his only two big-budget films to date), the film stars Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, Sharlto Copley and Jessica Biel.

The big-screen adaptation follows a fictional group of ex-United States Army Special Forces personnel who work as soldiers of fortune while on the run from the military after being branded as war criminals for a “crime they didn’t commit.”

The show achieved cult status in the 1980s almost instantly, with countless merchandise available like action figures of the characters (plus their famous van and car), a cola-flavored popsicle in the shape of Mr. T (in the market at the show’s peak) plus a View-Master gift set (remember those?).

Check the action-packed trailer below:

The A-Team opens in theaters on June 11.
