It’s a well-known fact that sports have the uncanny ability to bring people together (Invictus, anyone?). Despite the many beefs and feuds (and some, er, other affiliations) which tend to divide the rap game (especially on the West Coast) the Lakers and their dramatic and potentially-redemptive championship run are causing several artists (including Ice Cube and Ray J, to name a couple) to join forces. Check out the new L.A. anthem below, over the “Beamer, Benz Or Bentley” beat:

These guys sound pretty confident that they’ll have plenty to celebrate by the end of the finals this year. There’s quite a few jabs at the Celtics, especially Paul Pierce. On the flipside, this record could be used to jinx the Lakers or possibly even to motivate the tough and tenacious Celtics.

Maybe a few Boston rappers will have to come up with an anthem of their own? At least there’s the ubiquitous “Beat L.A.” chant, Celtics fans.

The Lakers lead the series 1-0 with the Game 2 scheduled for this Sunday at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
