Nike Air Penny III White/Eggplant
The Nike Air Penny III helped to establish Anfernee Deon “Penny” Hardaway as a staple in the Nike signature game during the mid ’90s. Originally released in 1997, the Penny III dropped in Orlando Magic’s home colors at the peak of Penny’s burgeoning career. Though his playing days were hampered by multiple knee surgeries, Penny’s signature shoe line has remained a favorite among sneaker heads both young and old.
For this release, Nike went back into the kitchen with one of their winning recipes—Eggplant on foam. Like the Nike Eggplant Foamposites before them, the Nike Air Penny III sports an Eggplant foam upper that continues to the heel loop and sole. With the release and re-release of the Nike Eggplant Foamposite in consecutive years, scoop up the Penny III and stand out from the sea of Eggplant foam out there. Look for a general release this month.
