Restaurant Worker Helps T.I. With Probation
If I were an ex-felon who just so happens to be an international music star like T.I., I’d be more careful with my “permission to travel” papers. According to the New York Post, the “Live Your Life” rapper left them sitting on a table at West 14th Street hotspot restaurant Abe & Arthur’s after breaking bread with fellow Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane and Victoria’s Secret model Selita Ebanks.
T.I., currently on “supervised release” after serving 10 months in prison on federal weapons charges, needs the papers to travel as a requirement of his probation. After leaving both a “generous” tip for servers and the papers, the self-proclaimed “King of the South” and his entourage were chased down by a restaurant employee who gave the papers to a member of the hip-hop star’s security team. Imagine if Tip hadn’t left such a generous tip (pun totally intended)— those papers probably would’ve found their way to the city’s landfill by now.

I think it’s wrong to assume that the only reason the papers were returned was because of the amount of the tip. There are plenty of good people in the world who would do something like that for free.
