Thank you Nintendo for taking the gaming industry to another level. Word in the tech world is Nintendo will release the tentatively named “3DS” console sometime before March 2011. It’s quite a wait from now, but that should be plenty of time to assure quality and awesomeness.
The Nintendo 3DS is the successor to the handheld Nintendo DS. Supposedly no glasses are required for the 3D effect. It’s assumed it will have 2D capabilities also, since it will be backwards compatible with DS games. Check out this example of what 3D could possibly look like:
More details will be revealed at the upcoming E3 Expo, which takes place this month (June 15-17) in Los Angeles. Good luck Nintendo!
