Angry Birds by Rovio, $0.99

It’s probably the best 99 cents I’ve ever spent for a game, period. This dumb-addictive strategic puzzle game is challenging enough to subtly frustrate you. It features 120 replayable levels to keep you occupied and get your money’s worth.

It has a silly but cute story to it. The point of the game is to destroy the green pigs by slingshotting these birds into the physics-based barricades. Each type of bird has a unique destructive power  and each type of barricade has a different vulnerability. It takes logic, skill and lots of retries to complete each puzzle.
