It’s been one year since the legendary King of Pop passed away, everyone has found their own way to pay homage to the late, great Michael Jackson. Some do it by a simple message via Twitter, others make their own Michael Jackson mixes to get them through the day and artists like Aloe Blacc (How To Make It In America‘s “I Need A Dollar”) remember the greatest entertainer of all time by recreating one of his MJ’s most popular songs in a manner that Jackson would appreciate if he was here today.

Aloe Blacc recently recorded a cover of “Billie Jean” that’s simply magnificent. He spills a glut of soul into the original and takes it on a bluesy ride that is quite possibly one of the best recreations of a Michael Jackson song I have ever heard. Give it a listen and offer some thoughts.
