Man Found Dead In Theater During Eclipse Screening
No vampire jokes, por favor!
WELLINGTON, New Zealand — Police are hoping an autopsy will explain what caused a man to slump over in his chair and die while watching a screening of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse at a Wellington cinema.
The 23-year-old, described by police as a transient, was found unresponsive in his chair, with no obvious injuries, after a screening of the vampire romance movie on Sunday night, the New Zealand Herald reported.
Paramedics could not resuscitate him.
The man appeared to have gone alone to the 6 p.m. screening. He was discovered by cinema staff around 8.20 p.m. when the rest of the patrons had left, Detective Senior Sgt. Scott Miller told the Herald.
“There are no obvious injuries to this person. And we are looking at this as an unexplained death,” Miller said. [MSNBC]
Well, the odds of 23-year-old men and women dropping dead for no apparent reason is probably quite high these days, you know, with the state of the environment and…the economy? It is a really unfortunate and peculiar case that certainly has nothing to do with Summit Entertainment, The Twilight Saga, Stephanie Meyer, or lovestruck teenage monsters.
