Serena Opens Up About Her Breakup With Common
Common and Serena Williams were tight-lipped about their relationship during their two-year courtship, but now that the duo have called it quits the tennis champ’s opening up about what led to the split. In a new interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Williams blames their hectic work schedules (more so his than hers) for the breakup. “His schedule is actually worse than mine,” Serena tells the magazine. “He didn’t want the responsibility. It’s really tough.”
I could be wrong, but it sounds like the 4-time Wimbledon title-holder is still a little salty about the situation. Right after their breakup, Common added to Williams’ ire by confusing the media about the status of their relationship. He lavished praise on her during interviews while promoting his latest film, Just Wright. “Beautiful, intelligent woman; fun and spiritual woman. I think she’s an incredible person,” he described Serena to Access Hollywood, prompting a bewildered Williams to ask,“Why are you saying all this stuff when we’re not together?”
It just goes to show you, rich, poor, or middle class, the inability of us women to understand men is universal.

Why is she bitching and he said nothing but good things about her?
Is it true that Common is a huge sneakerhead? I heard he stays on top of his Jordan release dates like a mad man.

I agree with G Stacks and the writer, it sounds like Serena is taking the low road when Common has said nothing but positive things about her. Well, at least Common moved on before she forced a tennis ball down his throat. I always thought he out classed her and could do better in the significant other department. Common has good Karma.
The break-up is well overdo. He’s always said positive things about her, she’s said nothing about him. When she finally speaks it’s on the negative. Prayerfully, he can find a real Queen to build a life with. I’m just sorry he wasted 2 years of his life.
