It’s a tough task to catch Rihanna in a bad fashion moment. She could probably wrap herself in a garbage bag and still look fabulous.

But RiRi has surprised us with some questionable ensembles nonetheless, which made it easy for us to complete this list of her five best and worst fashion moments:

BEST:

5.

She put the spike trend on the map, with the help of this fiery little red number.

4.

Rihanna added her own youthful vibe to this classy ensemble. Love the bold jewelry and Chanel fur muff.

3.

White is a great color for Rihanna, and this stunning red carpet gown does not disappoint.

2.

This combo of a fitted gray dress, sexy thigh-high boots and clear glasses screams dominatrix with an edge. Fierce.

1.

Rihanna looks out of this world in this structured metallic number—in a very good way.

WORST:

5.

Is this dress competing with the pouf in her hair?

4.

Rihanna dresses like this to go to the doctor? Just way too much going on here.

3.

Everything about this dress is on point, except for the awkward length…and the shoulder pads that look more like the back rest of a chair.

2.

As cute as she looks, was this dress really appropriate for the BET Awards of all places? And I’m so not feeling the harsh plum lipstick.

Once again, it’s the attack of the shoulder pads. Rihanna looks like she’s about to fly away in this Gumby-green monstrosity.
