The-Dream And Christina Milian: It’s A Wrap

To the surprise of no one, Terius ‘The-Dream’ Nash announced his separation from Christina Milian via a statement to USMagazine.com yesterday:

“Terius ‘The-Dream’ Nash is saddened to announce that his marriage to Christina Milian was unsuccessful. The couple reached this decision in late 2009, but decided to keep the news private in efforts to protect their baby daughter, Violet. They ask for consideration and respect for their family moving forward.”

Over the last few months, The-Dream, who was once married to and has three children with singer Nivea, and Milian have denied rumors about trouble in their marriage, with the singer-songwriter telling Parlour magazine in June:

“The rumors are not true and it really boils my blood. Christina and I are cool. People keep asking, ‘Why haven’t we seen you guys out together?’ I’m working, that’s why you haven’t seen us. She’s at work, too, in Los Angeles. The women in the pictures are actually legitimate friends of mine. The photo with me in the car and another woman…she’s a good friend who’s at my house all the time. It’s sad, because [the blogs] have humiliated her. She feels bad, I feel bad and you don’t know what that [judgment] does to that person.”

I’m sure those pictures of him grabbing more than a handful of his assistant’s ass while the two frolicked on a beach in the Caribbean that surfaced yesterday didn’t help with the humiliation factor. To Milian’s credit, it appears she’s over the entire situation judging by this cryptic tweet she posted on her Twitter page yesterday:

“WHATEVER YOU THINK…BELIEVE IT”

The-Dream and Milian began dating in early 2009 and were engaged later that year once the “Say I” singer became pregnant with their daughter. After eloping last September in Las Vegas, the couple tied the knot a second time in Rome in December. So if The-Dream’s statement is to be believed and the two separated in late 2009, then why the hell did they go through with the whole charade in Rome? Maybe the deal-breaker was that horrendous looking outfit he wore during the ceremony—ugh.
