Mashonda’s Candid Interview On Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys
Although the details of their divorce are final, Mashonda isn’t done talking about the relationship between her ex-husband Swizz Beatz and R&B songstress Alicia Keys, which she believes led to the demise of her four-year marriage to the mega-producer. In a recent interview with VIBE.com, the once aspiring singer spoke on the couple’s upcoming nuptials and how she felt when she found out about their romance:
ON WHETHER OR NOT SHE’D GO TO BEATZ AND KEYS’ WEDDING IF SHE WERE INVITED:
“No. Not out of malice, but because weddings are sacred. It’s just not my place. The only reason I went to his birthday party was because he invited me and I did that for myself. I needed to see them together for it to transfer. And I was like ‘Wow, this is real.’ We were still totally married…we had a divorce that was nowhere near final, but I just needed to see them in action for it to be real to me, and it was definitely real.
You have all these different types of steps that you have to set up for yourself until you get to that place where you are free. And I will tell you, after I got divorced maybe three weeks later I woke up and felt a weight removed. It was the first time I’d ever felt mentally free. And I sent him an email wishing him all the best in the world.”
ON HER FEELINGS WHEN SHE FOUND OUT ABOUT BEATZ AND KEYS’ ALLEGED AFFAIR:
“Bottom line, the rule is, if you’re messing with somebody, you don’t know they’re married, and you found out they’re married, if you come into any contact with that wife, leave it alone…respect the woman, respect the wife. Like I said before, it was an ego thing for me. I’m being f*cking disrespected, nobody respects me, this is my husband, this is my family, this girl thinks she can just do anything she thinks she wants to. And that’s what I dealt with for a while, until I gave up.”
During the interview, Mashonda also made the startling revelation that she was living with and pregnant by Beatz at the same time as the woman who gave birth to his eldest child (a son named Prince Nasir Dean) back in 2000. According to her, she lost the baby because of the stress from finding out about the other woman’s pregnancy. She and Beatz eventually did have their own child, Kasseem Dean, Jr., 6 years after the miscarriage.
All that drama and she married him anyway? SMH—this relationship was obviously doomed from the start.
Alicia Keyes has no morals and no soul.
she’s ignorant and she’s going to pay a high price for her actions.
We’ve seen this before and it always ends in tragedy.
What’s more troubling is that such a un-attractive and trashy man could get all these women to bring children into this world with his last name.
Mashonda and her son are tragic figures.

Mashonda is a leech……..I just don’t believe her whole story. She is so jealous because she never had success or fame. Swizz is right! If there wasn’t a big name involved, no one, no one would care.
