Foxy Brown Arrested Over Alleged Protective Order Violation
According to TMZ, Foxy Brown was arrested yesterday evening for allegedly violating an order of protection. Reportedly, one of the rapper’s neighbors took the order out against her, which mandated Foxy stay a certain distance away, but the order was allegedly violated when the former Def Jam recording artist supposedly verbally engaged the neighbor.
Despite her arrest, Foxy’s camp denies the neighbor’s allegations. According to Foxy’s manager, Bernadette Brennan, the hip-hop star was rehearsing outside for an upcoming show, which pissed the neighbor off. After the neighbor stormed outside screaming and yelling at “Brooklyn’s Don Diva,” Foxy retreated to the inside of her house to steer clear of an altercation. Then the cops showed up.
I have a strong suspicion the neighbor involved in yesterday’s confrontation is the very same neighbor Foxy allegedly attacked back in 2007. During that incident, Foxy purportedly hit her neighbor, a woman by the name of Arlene Raymond, with a Blackberry because of an argument that occurred between the two a few days prior concerning the loudness of the femcee’s car stereo. According to published reports, Raymond suffered from a cut lip and a loose tooth in the attack. At the time, Foxy was on probation for attacking two manicurists at a Manhattan nail salon.
Despite her hotheaded past, I’m riding with Foxy in this most recent incident. It seems like she’s been trying to get her life and career back on track, so I’m going to give her the benefit of the doubt until all the facts come to light. In the meantime, someone hide her Blackberry, and for that matter, anything else she can easily use as a weapon.
