No, your eyes are not fooling you. TRON is back.

Disney premiered the latest trailer for TRON: Legacy at this year’s Comic-Con and people are freaking out. This is the sequel to the 1982 classic which chronicled hacker Kevin Flynn‘s adventures into the virtual world of the ENCOM mainframe. (Don’t laugh: The 1982 version was super cutting-edge at the time.) To help maintain authenticity, Jeff Bridges is reprising his role as Flynn in this sequel, due for release December 17.

TRON: Legacy is supposed to deeply explore the relationship between Kevin and his hacker son Sam Flynn (played by Garrett Hedlund). Comic-Con attendees not only got to witness firsthand the majorly upgraded special effects, they also got to view a full eight minutes of the actual film.

Now, I’m jealous.
