Twelve, is directed by Joel Schumacher, the dude who brought you Batman Forever, The Client, and A Time to Kill. It’s based on a novel by Nick McDonell which tells the story of teenagers from Manhattan’s Upper East Side ala Gossip Girl, and even stars Gossip alum Chace Crawford. Twelve explores the life of NYC’s elite and what their kids are up to when they’re not being watched. With all that said, does this sound like an indie flick that would feature Curtis “Get Rich or Die Trying” Jackson himself? Because it does.

When 50 read the script, he petitioned for the role which posits him as a drug liaison to the prep-school set. The critical jury is still out on this one, with both positive and negative reviews flying. The facts remain, it was a Sundance selection, the trailer is available after the scroll, and it drops Friday. Decide for yourself.
